trading AI is now live at edgeful showing feature image of André with the text "edgeful ai" above the "now live" button.
the all in one technical analysis tool helping traders build profitable trading strategies with instant insights on price action, volume, and indicators
edgeful

we officially launched edgeful AI in early December — and this trading AI is about to change how you interact with the platform.

think of edgeful AI as a trading AI assistant that's been trained on every single piece of edgeful content we've ever created. all the reports, all the stay sharps, all the documentation, all the methodology behind how the platform works... it knows all of it.

this is the foundation to what's going to become your personal trading quant — and while it's not quite to that level just yet, we wanted to get something out so we can see how you interact with it and start building the next versions based on your feedback.

in this post, I'm going to walk you through exactly what edgeful AI can do right now, show you some real examples of how to use it, explain what it can't do yet, and give you a look at what's coming next on the roadmap.

let's get into it.

what is edgeful AI?

edgeful trading AI on the left sidebar shown with a blue box for easy visualization

edgeful AI in its current state — V0 — has been trained on every single piece of edgeful content we've put out, internally and externally.

we're talking about all the reports, all the stay sharps, all the documentation, all the methodology behind how the platform works. this trading AI assistant knows all of it.

you'll find edgeful AI in your sidebar — click the star icon and you're in. from there, you can start a new chat, search your previous chats, and check your usage details.

here's the thing — this is V0. we don't believe in waiting for something to be perfect before shipping it. we wanted to get the foundation set so we can build on top of it based on how you actually use it.

what edgeful AI can help you with

edgeful trading AI chatbot interface showing list templated questions that a user can ask

when you first open it up, I recommend clicking the pre-built prompt: "what types of questions can edgeful AI answer?"

here's what this trading AI assistant can help you with:

  • platform navigation — where to find things, how to use features, so you never get lost, especially when you're first starting with edgeful
  • report methodology and how they work — so you know which reports to apply to your trading style
  • report customizations and filters — if you want to dig deeper into any of the reports
  • building morning, during the day, and post market routines — using our tools to create a systematic approach

so let's say you're looking at the inside bars report and you're not sure what it's measuring or how to use it in your trading... you can just ask edgeful AI and get it explained in simple terms.

and just like any AI — the more context you give it, the better the output.

if you say "I'm a beginner, explain the ultimate reversal setup in simple terms including what reports it combines" — you're gonna get a way better answer than just "what's the ultimate reversal setup?"

the output of AI is always based on the input. so the more specific you are with your question, the better your answer is gonna be, and the more helpful this trading AI is going to be long term with helping you apply edgeful's data to your trading.

using edgeful AI as an ORB trader

let's say you're an ORB trader but don't necessarily know how to use the reports just yet. this is a perfect time to use trading AI to ask any questions you may have.

here I've given it the prompt "I like to trade the ORB, what subreports would be useful for me to implement?"

edgeful trading AI response showing ORB subreport recommendations

edgeful AI broke it down simply:

  • for entry timing & pullback trades: use the opening range breakout by retracement subreport
  • for profit targets: use the ORB by levels and ORB by performance subreports
  • for setup filtering & context: use ORB by size, ORB by breakout time, and ORB by weekday

you can obviously do this exact same process for any other reports you may be interested in as well — like the initial balance (IB), the ICT opening retracement report, or even the ultimate reversal setup.

trading the ultimate reversal setup with edgeful AI

one more example for you — this time we're going to use trading AI to help us trade the ultimate reversal setup.

if you don't know what that setup is... edgeful AI explains it clearly:

edgeful AI response explaining the ultimate reversal setup and how you can apply our exact reports to improve your focus and setup knowledge in your trading.

the ultimate reversal setup combines three core reports that all need to align in the same direction for maximum confluence:

the three reports:

  1. outside days — measures how often price reverses back into yesterday's range when it opens outside (above yesterday's high or below yesterday's low). gives you your first reversal target.
  2. gap fill — tracks how often price retraces back to yesterday's close after gapping away from it. gives you your second reversal target. (learn more about gap fill trading strategies)
  3. ICT opening retracement — measures how often price retraces back to the midnight open (or custom time like 6 AM) during the NY session. gives you your third reversal target. (see the full breakdown of the ICT midnight open retracement report)

how to use it:

check where price is opening relative to all three key levels in pre-market:

  • yesterday's high/low (outside days)
  • yesterday's close (gap fill)
  • midnight open (ICT)

if price opens above all three levels, all three reports point to bearish reversals. if price opens below all three levels, all three reports point to bullish reversals.

when all three align like this, you have three separate data-backed targets to work with instead of just one — dramatically increasing your confidence.

not much else to be said here! very useful even in its V0 state.

what edgeful AI can't do (yet)

I want to be super clear about this because I don't want you going in with the wrong expectations.

edgeful AI does not have access to the live data right now.

so if you ask it "what are the gap fill results on NQ?" — it's not going to be able to answer that. if you ask "is NQ gonna go higher or lower today?" — obviously, it doesn't know that. nobody knows that.

it also won't:

  • give you buy/sell signals
  • tell you where to enter or where to set your stop
  • make trading decisions for you

this trading AI isn't a signal service. it's an education and support tool — trained on everything we've built so you can understand the platform better and use it more effectively.

BUT eventually — which I'll cover more on in a second — you're going to be able to ask this trading AI questions about live data and actually start applying data to your trading in real-time.

what's coming next

here's what's on the roadmap for edgeful AI V1, V2, and beyond — where this trading AI really starts to shine:

  • 1) live data access — imagine being able to ask edgeful AI "what's happening on NQ right now?" or "what are the gap fill results for ES today?" and getting an actual answer based on real-time report data. no more clicking through reports manually... just ask and get the answer.
  • 2) combining reports — you'll be able to ask things like "what setups have confluence right now?" or "show me when gap fill AND outside day are both in play" and edgeful AI will pull that together for you instantly. this is gonna change how you build your daily bias.
  • 3) creating TradingView indicators — this one's big. eventually, you'll be able to describe what you want to see on your chart and edgeful AI will help you build a custom indicator for it. no coding required.

we're building this the right way — foundation first, then features. and we're going to keep improving it based on your feedback.

how to use it (quick walkthrough)

to wrap up, here's a quick 5-step checklist on how you can get started with edgeful AI:

  1. click the star icon in your sidebar
  2. click one of the pre-built prompts (I recommend starting with "what types of questions can edgeful AI answer?")
  3. wait for the response — it takes about 20 seconds because it writes the full answer before displaying it. don't refresh, it's not frozen.
  4. once you get your answer, you'll see a TLDR at the bottom if it's a longer response. if you don't feel like reading the whole thing, just read that.
  5. then start asking it questions about any of the reports, subreports, or known setups that you've seen us talk about online on X or in videos!

one more thing — you can pin and rename your chats. click the three dots next to any chat to do this. keeps everything organized, especially if you're having multiple conversations about different reports or setups.

frequently asked questions

what is edgeful AI and how does it work?

edgeful AI is a trading AI assistant built specifically for edgeful users. it's been trained on every report, stay sharp newsletter, documentation page, and methodology guide we've ever created. you can ask this trading AI questions about any report, strategy, or platform feature and get detailed explanations in simple terms.

can edgeful AI give me trading signals or tell me what to buy?

no — this trading AI is not a signal service and won't tell you what to buy or sell. it's an education and support tool designed to help you understand the platform, learn report methodologies, and build trading routines. trading AI won't make trading decisions for you.

does edgeful AI have access to live market data?

not yet. in its current V0 state, this trading AI doesn't have access to live report data. this means it can't tell you current gap fill results or what's happening on a specific ticker right now. live data access for trading AI is on the roadmap for future versions.

how is edgeful AI different from ChatGPT or other trading AI tools?

edgeful AI is specifically trained on edgeful's proprietary data, reports, and methodologies. unlike general trading AI tools, it understands the exact reports we offer, how they work, and how to apply them to your trading. it's a specialized trading AI assistant built for our platform — not a generic chatbot trying to answer trading questions.

what's coming next for edgeful AI?

the roadmap includes live data access (ask about real-time report results), report combining (find confluence across multiple setups), and TradingView indicator creation (describe what you want and AI builds it). we're building foundation first, then adding features based on user feedback.

key takeaways

  • edgeful AI is a trading AI trained on every report, stay sharp, and piece of documentation we've ever created
  • use this trading AI to understand report methodology, learn customizations, and build trading routines
  • the more context you give it, the better the output — be specific with your questions
  • trading AI can't access live data yet, but that's coming in future versions
  • live data access, report combining, and indicator creation are all on the roadmap
