edgeful's biggest upgrade yet

welcome back to stay sharp.
if you've been reading this newsletter every Saturday but haven't pulled the trigger on edgeful yet — I get it.
up until now, the site didn't do a great job of showing you what you'd actually be getting. you'd see "150+ reports" and "data-driven trading tools" but there was no real breakdown of what any of that actually means for your trading.
so we rebuilt the entire site.
we rebuilt edgeful.com
every core tool on the platform now has its own dedicated page that breaks down exactly what it does, how it works, and what you'll see when you use it.
reports. what's in play. screener. edgeful AI. algos. TradingView indicators.
6 tools. 6 pages. all explained for the first time in one place.
whether you're an edgeful member who wants to learn about a tool you haven't tried yet, or you've just been reading stay sharp and want to see the full picture — now you can. no login required.
today I want to walk you through 3 pages that I think are worth your time.
let's get into it.
edgeful what's in play: find A+ setups in 30 seconds
this is probably the tool I talk about the most in stay sharp, and the new page does a great job of showing why.
here's the problem: edgeful has over 150 reports now. gap fills, inside bars, IB breaks, ORB, opening candle, ADR, ICT open... across every ticker you trade. that's millions of data points.
you can't check all of them every morning. and you definitely can't memorize which ones are setting up today.
what's in play does it for you.
it scans every report you care about, filters by your minimum threshold, and shows you only the setups that are actually worth trading right now. everything below your threshold is hidden.
set it to 65% and you'll only see the A+ setups.
and it tracks where each setup is in real-time:
- forming — the setup is building but not ready yet (the ORB isn't fully formed at 9:35 AM ET, the IB isn't set until 10:30 AM ET)
- in play — conditions are met, data is live, targets are plotted
- completed — already played out. no more chasing setups that are done
that alone saves you from jumping between reports every morning trying to piece together what's happening.
30 seconds instead of 30 minutes. every session.
edgeful AI: the first AI built on real trading data
this is the one I'm most excited about.
edgeful AI is the first AI built on real trading data — not generic market knowledge from the internet.
the difference matters. if you ask a generic AI "do gaps fill?" you'll get something like "based on general market knowledge, gaps tend to fill." no ticker. no timeframe. no sample size. just a vague answer you can't trade.
edgeful AI pulls from 5+ years of actual exchange data and can analyze up to 16 of our most popular reports. every answer comes with exact numbers, sample sizes, and a data table that allows you to source the numbers.
and there are 3 ways to use it depending on where you are:
- the explorer — you don't have a specific question yet. you just want AI to analyze the data and find patterns you're missing across reports.
- the validator — you have a setup you already trade. you want to know: does it actually work? how often? on which tickers? AI tests it against thousands of days of real data.
- the optimizer — you know the setup works. now you want to know what conditions make it strongest. which weekdays? which gap sizes? which candle patterns?
what used to take hours to do by hand — search through multiple reports, memorize numbers, and then hopefully come up with a strategy — now takes minutes or even seconds with edgeful AI.
the goal is to save you time so you can get back to focusing on execution.
edgeful algos: 7 automated strategies you can browse, backtest, and automate
the new algos page lays out all 7 trading strategies we've built — gap fill, IB breakout, ORB, engulfing candles, and more — and lets you see exactly how each one works before you ever commit to anything.
here's the process the page walks you through:
- browse all 7 strategies — see what each one trades, how it works, and what it's designed to capture
- pick one that fits your style — are you an IB trader? an ORB trader? a gap fill trader? find the strategy that matches how you already trade
- customize and backtest — adjust profit targets, stop loss, direction. then run it against real historical data. you'll see win rate, profit factor, drawdown, total P&L — and know whether it actually works before risking a dollar
- automate when you're ready — once you trust the numbers, connect your broker (NinjaTrader, Tradovate, ProjectX) and let the algo handle execution
you'll see on the page we've included the performance results of the IB strategy on GC in all of 2025: 65.76% win rate, 1.935 profit factor, 403 trades, +$105,890 net P&L.
important note: these are backtest results, not live trading performance. past performance is not indicative of future results. but the point is you can see exactly what the backtester produces — right on the page, no signup needed.
whether you're on the essential plan and have wondered what the algos actually look like, or you've been thinking about automation but wanted to see real numbers first — everything is on that page now. go look and decide for yourself.
