control the edgeful app from Claude or ChatGPT with MCP

you can now control the edgeful app from an AI assistant connected to the edgeful MCP. instead of clicking through the app yourself, tell Claude, ChatGPT, or another connected assistant what you want, and it makes the change in your edgeful account.

for example, ask it to "add NQ to my watchlist" or "bookmark the IB by color report," and the change shows up in the app. the assistant can also update your account defaults, adjust custom sessions and report customizations, and create or delete templates for reports, What's in Play, and the screener.

custom reports work the same way. ask the assistant to build a report around your setup, run it, and save it, then open it in edgeful with its charts and tables on its own report page.

every change is checked before it saves, so the assistant can only set values the app accepts, and it keeps the previous value so it can undo a change on request. write access can be turned off for each connection from the API dashboard.
